"Mentoring Program" Defined:
What is a "Mentoring Program" in the eyes of Rochester Mentors: A mentoring program is one that places a premium upon the systematic building and supporting of one-to-one relationships through safe and effective means, and that follows a model proven (or holding reasonable promise) to provided measurable positive impact for the mentee constituency.

- Rochester Mentors Member Agencies and Programs: These agencies and programs elect to learn and adhere to appropriate standards for safety and effectiveness - and in doing so, become promoted members of Rochester Mentors. For a complete list of these programs and agencies, contact us to attend an information session.
- Ability-Builder Programs: These are programs that form great and constructive relationships that help kids do better. They are an essential part of the landscape of success for volunteers and kids in our community. However, by design and intent, they function in a manner differing from the proven performance norms of mentoring described above. (more on this topic)
