Ability-Building Agencies and Programs

Rochester Mentors is pleased to work with these important programs that help people (youth and adult) reach their potential through exposure to, and role modeling from, caring volunteers in the community.

These programs do not seek to meet the definition of a Mentoring Support Program. Yet, toward the mission of mentoring - they provide important opportunity to volunteers and children alike, and often serve as the stepping stone (the launch pad) for a deeper one-to-one personal relationship - a relationship that starts to feel like Mentoring...

...and when that happens, these programs and agencies introduce those friendships to the members of Rochester Mentors so that the mentoring relationship can grow in a proven system of safety and effectiveness.

For a better idea of these programs and agencies, contact us to attend an information session.
