Compeer – Youth Mentoring *
This program provides services to young people experiencing emotional and behavioral disorders.
Mentors are recruited, trained and supported while they provide long-term (minimum of one year)
friendship to their match. Group events are scheduled throughout the year to enhance the
experience. Interpersonal, intrapersonal and school improvements are core goals.

Generation Two (G2):
The G2 mission is to create vibrant intergenerational friendships that promote social and emotional
strength necessary for children to learn in their classrooms, in their neighborhoods and in their
community. Through weekly 30 minute 1:1 child-centered, intergenerational play and conversation
meetings, all children in a first grade classroom meet with their G2 adult friend (you will play with
three young friends, each for 30 minutes).

Successful Pathways
This program provides a range of services to embrace and empower a teen parent (and work to
prevent early pregnancy). In addition, each teen parent is matched with a community member who
serves as a mentor to provide a social outlet, model appropriate behavior and provide additional
positive support. This is a Christian, faith-based program of Rochester Youth for Christ.

leading productive and successful lives by recognizing and respecting each girl's assets, and by
providing emotional support, guidance, mentoring, and broadened experiences.
